PALLISER CHEVROLET HISTORY
This Ad was published in 1984 as the official Grand Opening of Palliser Chevrolet. Many people from the community attended. Unfortunately, the helicopter which was taking people up in the air as a promotion had an engine malfunction with future Palliser Chevrolet patrons aboard. Luckily, it was only a few feet off the ground!
Palliser Chevrolet opened its doors in 1984 when Mike and Maymie O’Dwyer moved to Innisfail with their 3 children. The family welcomed a pair of twins in innisfail 3 years later. Palliser Chevrolet was originally named Palliser Chev-Olds. Oldsmobile was discontinued as a brand by General Motors in 2004 at which time Palliser changed the latter part of their name to Chevrolet (although lots of our long time customers still say Chev-Olds). Palliser Chevrolet is now owned by two of Mike and Maymie’s children, Michael (jr) and James O’Dwyer. Michal and James operate the day to day operations of the Chevrolet franchise and hope to one day pass along the business to one (or two) of their 5 children.
Palliser Chevrolet has evolved and expanded over the years to a 15-bay service center, state of the art showroom, detail department, finance department, parts department and a large car park for new and pre-owned vehicles. Michael and James both strongly believe in customer satisfaction and that if you treat customers honestly and with integrity they will be your customer for life.
